MODIS & VIIRS processing version

Hi,
looking at the L2 products software_version tag:
- there was a VIIRS change the 9-March 2017 from 8.10.3-r13529 to 9.0.2-V2016.4.1
- there was a VIIRS & MODIS change the 28-June 2017 from 9.0.2-V2016.4.6 to 9.0.2-V2016.4.7
to return to 9.0.2-V2016.4.6 the 6th of July.
Is there a documentation available about these changes?

These are minor code changes that added support for other missions and have no effect on the VIIRS and MODIS products.
