MODIS Aqua pass number for L1/L2 Data
MODIS Aqua pass number for L1/L2 Data
Hi all, I have a question. If I want to download old L1/L2 files of a particular region (say Indian Ocean region) for a particular date range (say march 2013 to June 2015) is there any way to download ( except manual download using Level 1&2 Browser )?
Problem is I can generate the address string but how to found the pass numbers for a day for a particular region. A2017075000500.L1A_LAC.bz2 . As we are talking about old data, I think Subscription will not work here.
In the 'Level 1&2 Browser' of Ocean Color site, when we give a date and a lon-lat box, it gives all the available Local area coverage files in that specified region. How this is done?
How can I get all the available LAC file names for a day & for a particular region?

You don't have to click and download each match individually.
You can get a bulk download list for your region and period of interest from the L1/2 Browser by clicking the blue "Order Data" link at the top of the results page.

For a more command-line based approach, see https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/forum/oceancolor/topic_show.pl?pid=29179
