VIIRS Subscription 1953

by oo_processing » Thu Aug 31, 2017 8:53 am America/New_York

I am curious. I set up a subscription for VIIRS with these coords "N: 60, S: 40, W: -70, E: -35" and requested DAY passes only. I started to receive passes 8/29 all of which were valid.

Yesterday my subscription contained all the day passes, however, It also contained V2017242073000.L1A_SNPP.nc and V2017242091200.L1A_SNPP.nc. When I search the online browser, these passes appear only when I search the night passes, and do not show up in the day passes. It causes my processing to have errors. Can you tell me why these two passes are showing up in a daytime subscription?

Thanks,
Brock

They are mixed granules with both day and night pixels. You can check the metadata for  global attributes :day_night_flag = "Mixed" ;   to exclude them from your processing.
