"Mapped" data vs SMI data

by pessac33 » Fri Jan 24, 2020 4:57 pm America/New_York

Hi,I'd like to know if the files in:https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov (/MODIS-Aqua/Mapped/) are the same as the files in https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov (/MODIS-Aqua/L3SMI/ )   ?They seem to be, but I would like to be sure.If they are, I am wondering why there haven't been any new files in : https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov (/MODIS-Aqua/Mapped/Daily/4km/chlor_a/2020/)since 01/14, even though there are new files in:https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov (/MODIS-Aqua/L3SMI/2020/) Thank you!

Yes, they are the same files, just organized differently.
There is an issue with a script that generates the listings, resulting in the discrepancy you see.  It is being investigated.
