Hi
I am in search of MODIS L3 data for atmospheric water vapour.
But in the HDF files from the LAADS DAAC Directories -MOD08_M3 and MOD08_D3- only 'Atmospheric_Water_Vapor_Low_Mean_Mean' is found. Can you suggest any other source where I can get the profile info in L3 format
Or
Can anyone tell me why the water vapour profile data is not given while temperature profile is given in the files. Is it due to any peculiarity of the water vapour data

Can you explain what do you mean by "the profile info in L3 Format"?

For Level 3 (MxD08_D3) Water Vapor data available are:

IR retrieval:

Atmospheric_Water_Vapor_High - Precipitable Water Vapor (IR Retrieval) 440 to 10mb

Atmospheric_Water_Vapor_Low - Precipitable Water Vapor (IR Retrieval) Surface to 680mb

Atmospheric_Water_Vapor_Mean - Precipitable Water Vapor(IR Retrieval) Total Column

Near IR retrieval:

Water_Vapor_Near_Infrared_Clear_Mean - Water vapor near infrared - clear column

Water_Vapor_Near_Infrared_Cloud_Mean- Water vapor near infrared - cloudy column
