Access to HTTP data products will be unavailable during weekly scheduled Planned Maintenance (PM) downtime required for ongoing system maintenance and upgrades. Messages are often posted 48 hours before the PM period starts. Oftentimes the downtime affects the users ability to even see the messages posted as in the external website. A system message is posted to the affected data download sites.

Is it still offline, and if so, is there a place where the dates for the maintenance sessions are being communicated?

The server is fully functional as of 19:32, 2022/01/26. Each Wednesday, access to LP DAAC HTTP downloads will be unavailable or intermittent between 8:00 am - 12:00 pm CT.
Due to unforeseen circumstances we try to update these notifications as time permits on the servers that are affected.
Please contact LP DAAC User Services (lpdaac@usgs.gov) with any questions.

Dear user,
LPDAAC is experiencing a higher than average load on the data pool after their planned maintenance which is causing time-out issues. It is up and running, so please continue to try accessing it throughout the day.
Thanks!

We are experiencing a higher than average load on the LP DAAC data pool after our planned maintenance which is causing time out issues. It is up and running, so please continue to try accessing it throughout the day. We also recommend using AppEEARS to access the MODIS data.

Re: looks like https://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov/ is down right now?
Early last week the USGS EROS Center completed a significant maintenance activity, after bringing the systems back up the LP DAAC is experiencing high volumes of user traffic. This is impacting data downloads for some users and causing timeouts. We are looking into performance improvements affecting data access. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. Please contact LP DAAC User Services (https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/lpdaac-contact-us/) with any questions or concerns.
