Rayleigh corrected reflectance

by arvindsahay » Wed Aug 04, 2021 1:30 am America/New_York

Can we get Rayleigh corrected reflectance (weekly/monthly/seasonal etc.) of MODIS/VIIRS as a Level-2 or any other level product instead of Rrs through ocean color web (https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/#)

No, Rayleigh corrected reflectance is not one of the products available from the OB.DAAC.
However, if you need this product you can download the Level 1 data and use the l2gen code distributed with SeaDAS to easily create it. The l2gen product to produce is called rhos and can be called for the wavelenghts of interest (e.g. rhos_443), all visible spectrum bands (rhos_vvv) or all reflective solar bands (rhos_nnn).

Sean
