MODIS Level-3 Gridded product: Angstrom Exponent (AE) over OCEAN

Hi...,
I am looking for MODIS Level-3 Gridded product: Angstrom Exponent (AE) over OCEAN data products from MODIS. Particularly over oceanic region, as I am able to find AE over lAND only in gridded data format at GIOVANNI portal. but couldn't find any AE product over Ocean in gridded format.
Any remark from the forum !!

Following are the only two L3 Angstrom Exponent data over ocean available from MODIS. These are available from L3 daily, weekly and monthly (M[O/Y]08_[D/E/M]3 products.

Does these JHisto product are AE value for each gridpoints or something else?
I am just looking for the grid product such as AOD. But little confused with this JHisto product. Any supported literature would be highly appreciable.

I have gone through the referred doc on https://atmosphere-imager.gsfc.nasa.gov/products/daily/documentation
Nowhere the term explicitly defined for the Angstrom Exponent over Ocean. They are providing joint histo of AE vs optical depth. Even I couldn't understand the application of joint histo.
I need only AE over ocean so that I can estimate AI (AI = AOD * AE).
Is there any subject/domain expert to help me to choose the right SDS.
