Announcement: GES DISC Data-in-Action article demonstrates ArcGIS and IMERG data in analysis of Hurricane Ida Flooding

by GES DISC - jimacker » Tue Feb 01, 2022 3:21 pm America/New_York

The NASA Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC) recently published a Data-in-Action article on their website, featuring an analysis of the flooding in the U.S. Northeast caused Hurricane Ida last August. This article combines Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for Global Precipitation Measurement (IMERG) precipitation data with the capabilities of the NASA GES DISC ArcGIS data portal.

The article includes a link to a new How-To document which includes a Jupyter Notebook enabling the extraction of the maximum precipitation value occurring over a given time period in a designated region of interest.
