missing modis ancillary data

by pmlrsg » Fri Mar 04, 2022 11:11 am America/New_York

Hi,

It appears that there is incomplete ancillary data for day 053 to present? Is there an issue?

Thanks

Ben

Yes there was an issue. See the notice below and feel free to join the mailing list for alerts:
Dear LANCE-MODIS Users:

Since February 22nd, 2022 (DOY 2022053), the Aqua spacecraft is experiencing an anomaly which is affecting data from the
AIRS and MODIS instruments. This anomaly is ongoing and data gaps are expected approximately every 3 hours and 28 mins
(approximately every two orbits) until recovery actions is implemented which is tentatively set for the end of the week.
Detailed Description and information on current data gaps is posted here.
