Looking for PM2.5 and NO2 daily data

by julibern13 » Tue Mar 08, 2022 9:59 am America/New_York

Hello! Please, I need to download daily data on PM2.5 and NO2 for England and Brazil. What is the correct product I should be looking for? I want to use the data for social sciences research (my field of expertise).

Many thanks!!
Cheers,
Juliana

Hello,

PM2.5 data is available from the Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications - 2 (MERRA-2) data collections. We have just posted a data release announcement about this data product. Search links are included in the article.

Release of the MERRA-2 Monthly Mean Surface Total PM2.5 Data for World Countries

Current NO2 data is available from the Ozone Measuring Instrument (OMI), the Tropospheric Monitoring Instrument (TROPOMI), and the Ozone Mapping Profiler Suite (OMPS). This link provides data collection search results: https://disc.gsfc.nasa.gov/

You may initially find it easier to use the OMI NO2 data products in our Giovanni system: https://giovanni.gsfc.nasa.gov/giovanni/#service=TmAvMp&starttime=&endtime=&variableFacets=dataFieldDiscipline%3AAtmospheric%20Chemistry%3B&dataKeyword=NO2

Please reply for additional information or instructions.
