Hello,
I am processing Sentinel-2 MSI Level-2 data from Level-1 using l2gen. I see striping in Rrs in this image (attached) while the true-color image from Copernicus site does not show any striping. Not all images I process have striping.
I just read on the forum that the standard atmospheric correction (are_opt=-2) for MSI does not work and cloud albedo threshold and wavelength have to different too. My question is could this be the reason for the striping? It shows up in Rhos as well.
Thank you for your help.

This doesn't fully answer your question, but striping can be band/detector specific. You are showing Rrs_443 whereas the true color image you mentioned uses the 490nm, 560nm, and 665nm bands.

Thanks Danny. Yes, some bands show less striping.
