IceBridge data after April 2019?

by tschudi » Tue Mar 29, 2022 6:05 pm America/New_York

Hello - I have been using IceBridge data for cal/val of ice products, and would like to use products from the Fall 2019 campaign in Antarctica and the Summer 2020 campaign. Will these products soon be available? For example, the IceBridge L4 Sea Ice Freeboard, Snow Depth, and Thickness is only available through April 2013, and the Quick Look though April 2019. The KT-19 data is also only through April 2019.

Thank you.

@tschudi,

I am checking with our product lead to see if we have a status on the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 campaigns, particularly for the IDCSI4 and IAKST1B data sets.

@tschudi,

A quick update on KT-19: The KT-19 was not flown during the Arctic summer 2019 or Antarctic 2019 campaigns, so IAKST1B won't be updated past May 2019. We're still waiting on information regarding IDCSI4, and we're planning a review of product status overall. I'll keep you updated on what I learn about IDCSI4.

Cheers,
Lisa

Thanks for the update! I didn't realize the KT-19 wasn't flown on these missions.

@tschudi,

I also received an update on IDCSI4 - the provider said they will work on updating the rest of the data set this summer. I will verify that you are on the mailing list to receive updates, and we'll let you know when the data are published.

If there are any other data sets you need updates on, please let us know.

Cheers,
Lisa
