Hello

There are no new MODIS L1A or L2 files available for download since A2022090175000.L1A_LAC.bz2 and A2022090175000.L2_LAC_OC.nc were provided on 2022-04-01 at approximately 02:50. Is there an issue?

Thanks
Jane

The spacecraft transitioned into safe mode, meaning no data is currently being collected. Once normal operations resume, our system will receive and process the data and the files will appear in our archive.

I am curious, will the AQUA passes also appear in the subscriptions as well?
Especially past the normal time they exist in a subscription before being removed as AQUA make take longer to recover than that normal period of time?

Cheers,
Brock

There are no delayed data to recover. The spacecraft is in a safe hold state and no science data are being collected. If they are able to get the instruments back on line, data deliveries will resume at that point.

Thanks for the update.
Will there be a post-mortum release as to the causes and perhaps long term prospects?

Cheers,
Brock

Hi Brock,

Not sure if a detailed reason will be posted. Here is the site where you can watch for any additional updates on the situation: https://modis.gsfc.nasa.gov/news/
