Hello,

Is there anyone knows here whether SeaDAS can be installed on Mac with M1Pro processor?
It is written in the SeaDAS homepage that Mac with Intel processor is required.
I just want to make sure before purchasing M1Pro MacBook.

We do not have a Mac with M1Pro processor to test OCSSW with, so we can’t say for sure if SeaDAS-OCSSW will work on it. Here is a post where a user complained about installing OCSSW on a Mac with ARM 64 chips --viewtopic.php?t=3029&sid=f2eed689691257f16d1d002de9fba2da&start=10#p10749

That said, you may be able to run a Linux VM on your new Mac, under which you could run the server side for the client/server approach we developed: https://seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov/client_server/. The visualization part of SeaDAS should work on Mac with M1Pro processor.
