Missing MOD11A2.061 tiles from 2001

Hello,
I would like to inform that there are missing tiles from 2001 MOD11A2 v061. See e.g. https://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov/MOLT/MOD11A2.061/2001.09.22/
Those data are available for v006 (https://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov/MOLT/MOD11A2.006/2001.09.22/). It would be good to verify whole 2001 v061 processing history. I am aware that some dates are not available at all, but v061 still lacks a lot.

Hi Monika,
That is correct. The V061 processing is not complete yet. The major blocks of data are done except for some MCD43 data sets. Now the reconciliation is underway. We expect it to be completed this month.

Sorry for the delay. We have been requesting these be processed for quite sometime, and we just had a bunch of missing MCD43A data come in for 2008 and 2021. Please let us know if you find there are still missing data.

the time series is still on complete (as of end of May), for instance we found for MCD43A2 version 061, that so many days are still missing:
59 days for 2003
62 days for 2004
65 days for 2005
63 days for 2006
67 days for 2007
This list is not complete, there might be other data missing. Hence would be good to check on your side if all data is there.

Hello @rapsodia86 we have just been informed that MOD11A2 6.1 historical processing is caught up. You should now see the granules from 2001. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or issues.


@silviahuber The MODIS Science Team is still working on processing the historical MCD43s. They have made significant progress on the MCD34A1s, all but 2001 should be available at this point. For the MCD43Ds we are still waiting on a handful of scenes from various years but it looks the Ds do have the year 2001 now. Most notably, MCD43D67 and MCD43D68 still need the years 2007 and 2008 to be completed. The MODIS team plans to continue the historical processing of all MODIS 6.1 datasets, so we expect to see more data available soon.

Is it known that a number of MCD43D67.061 and MCD43D68.061 tiles are still missing from https://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov/MOTA/?

Some examples of missing dates for MCD43D67.061 are 2007.033, 2007.041, most of 2019 and 2020. For MCD43D68.061: 2007.257, 2007.273, 2007.353

Thank you for checking. Have there been any updates in the meantime?

I've noticed that the previously mentioned 2007 data for both MCD43D67.061 and MCD43D68.061 are available on the S3 storage. However the MCD43D67.061 2019 and 2020 data are missing on there as well.
