Is an efficient way to download Sentinel3 data?

by yang16 » Mon Jun 27, 2022 10:44 am America/New_York

Dear EARTHDATA Forum,

I am trying to download Sentinel3-A and Sentinel3-B OLCI global data from April 2016 to April 2022. At first, I ordered yearly data from NASA L1 & L2 browser website and got http_manifest.txt files including about several hundred URLs in each file. Then, I copied and pasted each URL into my internet explorer to download each data. However, this manual way of data downloading is very slow. Do you know any efficient way to download such data?

Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Amy.

See :
https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/download_methods/#download_sec for ways to automate your downloads using scripting.

Keep in mind that the data request you describe is for nearly 1 million files with a total size on disk of 500 Terabytes. You may want to consider limiting you request to your specific regions of interest or contact ESA and make arrangements for them to ship you disks
