Modify Keyword Request

by OB.DAAC - amscott » Mon Jul 11, 2022 2:52 pm America/New_York

Hello,

I realized I've overlooked a detail and would like to request a modification to an existing platform keyword.

Existing:
SeaHawk
SeaHawk Cubesat

Request to modify to:
SeaHawk-1
SeaHawk-1 Cubesat

Justification:
We may have additional SeaHawk platforms for future missions. SeaHawk-2 was originally envisioned and may be funded for a future mission.

Hi Alicia, this is done. I added "SeaHawk-1 > SeaHawk-1 Cubesat" under SubCategory "SeaHawk". It will be published on Friday.

folks,
i wonder if the recent change may have impacted the ability to find posts related to seahawk? when i used to click on the "seahawk/hawkeye" check box under projects, all of the previous forum posts related to the mission would appear. when i did that today, NO posts showed up although i am still able to find them from the urls that i saved from previous searches such as:
viewtopic.php?t=1634&sid=b6d6bf758ce00fd945b01a3726fefae7

can someone please take a look and re-enable the ability to search for seahawk/hawkeye from the checkbox under the "projects" tab.

thanks,
gene

Hi Gene, I am not sure why the previous links disappeared. I will notify the Earthdata Forum team of this issue.

Hi Gene,

We'll have the Forum developers check this out to see if this is the case.

In the meantime, a quick fix I found was to type "Seahawk" or "Hawkeye" in the 'Filter By Text" box in the facetted search. By doing this, all the posts with "Seahawk" or "Hawkeye" will show up in the search.

Thanks,

david,
thanks for the suggestion and hopefully, fixing whatever recently broke with using the project button to search for SeaHawk is an easy fix but as you suggested, using the text search box does recover the messages that i was looking for.
best regards,
gene

Hi Gene,

Our Developers are pretty certain what is causing this to happen. It should be fixed in the next version release of the Forum.

Thanks again for letting us know.
