Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI) Geolocation Error for Mission Week 167

by LP DAAC - jwilson » Thu Jul 21, 2022 4:45 pm America/New_York

The Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI) science team has made the LP DAAC aware of a geolocation error that affects V002 data from February 17 through February 24, 2022. The geolocation error is on the order of approximately 22 meters, which exceeds Version 002 geolocation performance by a factor of two. Data will be redelivered in the near future with a correction to the geolocation.

A link for the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) landing page for each GEDI dataset impacted by this issue is provided below.

GEDI L1B Geolocated Waveform Data Global Footprint Level GEDI01B.002

GEDI L2A Elevation and Height Metrics Data Global Footprint Level GEDI02A.002

GEDI L2B Canopy Cover and Vertical Profile Metrics Data Global Footprint Level GEDI02B.002
