Data Release Announcement: NASA GRACE Data Assimilation for Drought Monitoring V3.0

by GES DISC - jimacker » Tue Jul 26, 2022 4:56 pm America/New_York

The NASA Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC) and Hydrological Sciences Laboratory (HSL) are pleased to announce the release of the NASA GRACE Data Assimilation for Drought Monitoring (GRACE-DA-DM) Version 3.0 Global data product.

This dataset contains a series of drought indicators, based on a Catchment Land Surface Model (CLSM) Fortuna 2.5 version simulation that was created within the Land Information System (LIS) data assimilation framework. GRACE-DA-DM V3.0 Global drought indicator maps are derived from the 0.25 degree resolution GLDAS_CLSM025_DA1_D product, which is output from LIS/CLSM forced by ECMWF meteorological data and assimilating RL06 GRACE and GRACE-FO data from the University of Texas at Austin.

The full release announcement is available here. More information about the GRACE-DA-DM V3.0 data can be found on the dataset landing page. The data can be accessed via HTTPS, OPeNDAP, Earthdata Search, Giovanni, and THREDDS. To subset the data by date, spatial region, and/or variables, or re-map data to a different grid, select the Subset/Get Data link to utilize the subsetter and regridder tool.
