About SGLI’s Rrs Data

by yyslh999 » Sun Aug 14, 2022 9:13 pm America/New_York

When I use ocssw to process the L2 level product of SGLI data, rhos can get it, but the data set of Rrs cannot be obtained. If based on rhos, how to get the Rrs data set through the algorithm formula?

Are you trying to do l2gen on SGLI L1 files? I don't see why you can't get Rrs products. Can you share your SGLI L1 file name?

When I use l2gen to correct the default parameters of SGLI data, all the obtained Rrs band values are NaN. When outputting other parameters, the band values of Es are all NaN, but the value of rhos is normal, which is strange. Does l2gen not support the RRS processing of Sgli?
This problem occurs in the following two files of SGLI:
(1)GC1SG1_202005030219J06710_1BSG_VNRDQ_2000.h5
(2)GC1SG1_202205090233T07210_1BSG_VNRDQ_2005.h5

I did l2gen on GC1SG1_202005030219J06710_1BSG_VNRDQ_2000.h5, with GC1SG1_202005030219J06710_1BSG_IRSDQ_2000.h5 in the same directory.

Here is the screenshot of a partial image of Rrs_443.

Did you do l2gen on GUI or command line? Are you using SeaDAS-8.2.0, OCSSW V2022.0?

Kd_490 Rrs_vvv angstrom aot_867 chlor_a chl_ocx are the default products for OC suite. Note that Rrs_vvv is included in the default l2gen products, but rhos is not

My version of seadas is 8.2.0, and the version of ocssw processor is v2022.0. I have operated with the command line and GUI interface, and the obtained Rrs is still the Nan value.

With GUI, this is what l2gen's main tab look like --

# PRIMARY INPUT OUTPUT FIELDS
ifile=/Users/*/Scenes/SGLI/forum/GC1SG1_202005030219J06710_1BSG_VNRDQ_2000.h5
ofile=/Users/*/Scenes/SGLI/forum/GC1_SGLI.20200503T021907.L2.OC.nc

# SUITE
suite=OC

# PRODUCTS
l2prod=Kd_490 Rrs_vvv angstrom aot_867 chlor_a chl_ocx

# ANCILLARY INPUTS Default = climatology (select 'Get Ancillary' to download ancillary files)

What does yours look like? Did you choose OC for suite, which is default?

This is what the textfield of Selected Products on l2gen's Products tab show--

Kd_490 Rrs_vvv angstrom aot_867 chlor_a chl_ocx. What does yours look like?

Do you have GC1SG1_202005030219J06710_1BSG_IRSDQ_2000.h5 in the same directory with GC1SG1_202005030219J06710_1BSG_VNRDQ_2000.h5?

This is my default parameters. But, when I using the default parameters, The Rrs's data is always NaN.I find not any reason. The MODIS data, NPP data and noaa20 data I processed did not have this problem.This is strange.

Do you have GC1SG1_202005030219J06710_1BSG_IRSDQ_2000.h5 in the same directory with GC1SG1_202005030219J06710_1BSG_VNRDQ_2000.h5?

You need to have IRSDQ file in the same directory as the VNRDQ file. Hope this post can be helpful. viewtopic.php?t=3180
