I'm working on a project that tracks change through time in Maldivian marine habitats. As such, I'm interested in acquiring satellite imagery from as far back in time as possible. I've been looking through the Google Earth Pro historic satellite imagery which purports to go back to 1985 - see attached file - the metadata shows that this image is acquired from 12.31.1985 and the data source is Landsat/ Copernicus.
I have tried to look for Landsat data from 1985 covering this region however I have been unsuccessful using the USGS earth explorer web application and through Google Earth Engine.
Can someone offer advice on this? Why am I unable to find the data displayed on Google Earth Pro from the data provider (Landsat/ USGS)? And is there somewhere else I should look to find this data from 1985?

Thank you very much for looking into this for me. This is very useful.
