AST_07 and AST_07XT no email, no download

by rsglab2011 » Thu Sep 01, 2022 4:34 am America/New_York

I've ordered a few AST_07 and AST_07XT images, it's now 7 days and no email reply on where I can download them, although the order screen in NASA Earth Search says 100% and gives me only browse jpgs...
i.e. no notification emails, no zip, no imagery...

@rsglab2011,
LP DAAC order manager records show your last orders completed and shipped on August 30, 2022 for ASTER AST_07XT.003 and AST_07.003 On-Demand. I did not see any of the requested AST_L1A granules with the dates you provided when you contacted the lpdaac@usgs.gov User Services. We have had some issues in the last couple of weeks with our system which may have had a glitch in your ordering.
Could you resubmit the On-Demand orders and let me know so we can verify the orders had successfully submitted.
Janice

Thank you Janice,

I've created new orders of the same thing, see below (I now ordered 4 images, previously I had only the first 3).
It's an area in West-Sudan, 2003-02-26. If you like I can provide a kml of the AOI.
Thank you for investigating.
I did not get an email from 'you' either that I actually made the order...

Kind regards, Petra.

@rsglab2011,
I submitted an order with the three granules you provided in your email sent to the LP DAAC. I received all notifications.
Here are the download links for those three granules for ASTER On-demand that I had submitted on your behalf.

You will receive an email from Earthdata for tracking progress when orders update. Once you receive an email with "Your request has moved from state PROCESSING to CLOSED" the customer needs to look for an email with a subject line stating "Subject: LP DAAC ECS Order Notification Order ID: ...." That's from "From: LPDAAC@usgs.gov". That email will have their download links with an expiration date to complete the data download.

I will send you the download links for the four granules through the lpdaac@usgs.gov email that you submitted today.

Thank you Janice, I used the links you provided to download the zips.
I have not received any email notifications...
Not that the order was created, not that the order was ready for download...
Pity...
Should I create a new account?
Can I check somewhere that I have given LPDAAC access for my Nasa EarthData Search account?
Kind regards, Petra.

@rsglab2011,
I had sent you the downloads links for three of the granules here and for the four granules through the LPDAAC@usgs.gov email.

Thank you Janice,

Unfortunately, I have NOT received the LPDAAC mail from LPDAAC@usgs.gov,
I've checked my mailbox(es); there is also nothing in a Spam or Junk folder.
The last mails I got from LPDAAC@usgs.gov are from Wed 16/03/2022 20:10 and Wed 08/12/2021 19:05

Should/Can I delete my current account and create a new one? Still wait a little?
I think something is OFF.

Last thing: if you have sent your mail to rsglab@itc.nl that will fail...
It is now rsglab-itc@utwente.nl

In NASA EarthData Search my email is correct...
Whether my email address is correct at LPDAAC I cannot check...

The old email address may have been forwarded on our side for years to the new email address...
I am not sure if this is the cause of my problem.

Shall I try to download a MODIS image or something through NASA Earth Data? (which also comes from LPDAAC?)

@rsglab2011,
Our records shows the email address we sent the notifications to would be the one you registered or updated your profile on the Earthdata search "rsglab-itc@utwente.nl".
If you did not receive the notifications, you might want to check with your system administrator for emails that might be blocked from the LP DAAC.
I have included the other download links:

Thank you Janice, I have contaced our IT dept: we have checked whether the lpdaac@usgs.gov address was in my blocked senders etc, which was not the case.
We have now explicitly added @usgs.gov domain and lpdaac@usgs.gov as safe senders.

Question: Could you maybe send me another (or the same) email to my rsglab-itc@utwente.nl mail address (and maybe cc to my petra.budde@utwente.nl email) address and also let me know if you get a "did not deliver" message on your side? Thank you.

I will answer on Monday...

(Can I delete the mail addresses later from this conversations with you here?)
