Announcing Earthdata Webinar 10/26/22, Topic: GES DISC Meteorological and Hydrological Datasets for Studying Flood Event

Join us on Oct 26, 2022 at 2 p.m., ET, to learn how to discover, access, and use meteorological and hydrological datasets at NASA's Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC) for studying flood events.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Floods are a common weather hazard across the globe, potentially causing huge losses of life and property. Floods can occur over large areas and last for weeks or can occur suddenly and last for just hours. As the threat of floods is increasing with climate change, studying the temporal and spatial extent and severity of floods will help lead to more informed decisions.

In this webinar, we will talk about the various NASA GES DISC meteorological and hydrological datasets that are openly and freely available for flood analyses. A live demonstration will provide a recent flood event use case to show participants how to visualize and analyze the rainfall data from GES DISC—both within a cloud environment— and in using other data discovery and data access methods.
