Landsat Collection 1 Data Products will be Decommissioned on December 30, 2022

Distribution of all Landsat Collection 1 data and science products in the USGS archives will end on December 30, 2022. Users are encouraged to migrate their workflow to Landsat Collection 2 at their earliest convenience. Due to advancements in data processing and algorithm development, users are discouraged from using Collection 1 and Collection 2 interchangeably within the same workflow.

The following USGS Landsat Collection 1 datasets will no longer be accessible through NASA’s Earthdata Search as of December 30, 2022:

U.S. Landsat 4-8 Analysis Ready Data (ARD) V1 (Landsat4-8_ARD_US_C1)
Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager (OLI) and Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) Collection 1 (Landsat_8_OLI_TIRS_C1)
Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) Collection 1 (Landsat7_ETM_Plus_C1)
Landsat 4-5 Thematic Mapper Collection (Landsat4-5_TM_C1)
Landsat 1-5 Multispectral Scanner (MSS) Collection 1 (Landsat1-5_MSS_C1)
