Dear Support,

It's V2022.2 that I'm using now. I have problems with the following L0 files while OK with others:
MOD00.P2023031.1535_1.PDS
MOD00.P2023031.1620_1.PDS
MOD00.P2023031.1625_1.PDS
MOD00.P2023031.1630_1.PDS

MOD00.P2023031.1640_1.PDS
MOD00.P2023031.1645_1.PDS

$ modis_L1A MOD00.P2023031.1635.PDS -o MOD00.P2023031.1635.L1A_LAC --startnudge=0 --stopnudge=10

It's not you, or the code. There is some bad orbit data from 1/31. If we get updated att/eph data that corrects the problem, the data will be reprocessed (you'd need to pull the updated files, but I do not know when or even if they will be available).

If you look at https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/directdataaccess/Ancillary/Aqua-MODIS/2023/031/ you can see that the sizes of the att/eph data for that time period you list vary and are smaller than the "good" ones.
