SeaDAS 8.3 on CentOS 7 widgets "cramped"

Hello,
I'm returning to SeaDAS after a bit of a hiatus since 7.5.
I have a fully updated CentOS 7 workstation, with an Nvidia driver for Gnome.
I've installed SeaDAS 8.3 and am running with a Python 3.10.9 Anconda env.
I understand SeaDAS pnly mentions Ubuntu, but I'm hoping to be able to work with it in CentOS to aid in teaching a Satellite Oceanography course.
The application runs, but the GUI is broken, with the side panel "tab" titles not fully display (wrt height). Individual "popup" tool windows seem OK, but the basic app layout GUI exhibits this problem. Additionally, the text of a product's content sections ("Bands", "Masks", etc) are also vertically cramped.
The screenshot shows the problem, displaying an old ".dim" project I opened. The tab titles were cramped before I opened any data though.
Any suggestions are most welcomed!
Many thanks!
Alaric
