MODIS Version 6 Forward Processing has been Discontinued

Forward processing of Version 6 (V6) Terra MODIS land data products was discontinued on February 17, 2023 and Aqua MODIS land data products ended on February 23, 2023. LP DAAC will retain the V6 historical land data products for distribution for a period of 6 months following the end of the forward processing. All MODIS V6 land data products will be decommissioned after the expiry of this 6-month retention period.
Given the improved performance and calibration of MODIS V6.1 data products, users are requested to switch to V6.1 for all of their MODIS land data needs. Product specific improvements and enhancements are listed in the Version 6.1 change document.
