Processing MODIS L1A to L2 with partial ephemeris available

by jstum » Wed Mar 01, 2023 11:30 am America/New_York

Good evening,
I have seen that MODIS L1A are back, but it is not yet the case for ephemeris and attitude. So far, I used as input of modis_GEO PM1ATTNR_NRT files and PM1EPHND_NRT files available every 5 mn. I see that only PM1ATTNR files (every 2 hours) and only one PM1EPHND file at 12h00 are available. I launched modis_GEO with these files and it worked well, but my question is : is the geolocation accurate enough (over ocean) ?
Another associated question : when will the 5-mn attitude and ephemeris files be available again ?
Thank you !
Best regards,
Jacques

Our source for the NRT attitude and ephemeris data has encountered a problem and is unable to produce the data.
We can only provide the definitive atteph which has a longer latency.
There no estimate as to when the NRT data will be back in production.

Our MODIS NRT data provider is back in production. The latest NRT files are downloading now and should be available shortly.
