HLS S30 DN Correction

Hello,

Apologies in advance if this is answered elsewhere. I'm trying to figure out if a correction has been applied to the HLS S30 products for the DN shift in S2 products after Processing Baseline 04.00 starting in Jan 2022 (i.e. -1000 for BOA_ADD_OFFSET, see https://sentinels.copernicus.eu/web/sentinel/technical-guides/sentinel-2-msi/processing-baseline).

I don't see it mentioned in the HLS V2 documentation. It appears that other sources of S2 data are not all consistent e.g. EE has an S2_SR_HARMONIZED set with correction, AWS/Element84 has corrected some but not all imagery, and Copernicus/ESA applies no correction.

Thanks!

Hi @waltersdan I have forwarded your question onto our Science Data Lifecycle team. They will take a look at it and one of us will follow up here with an answer. Thanks.

Hi @waltersdan Here is what we heard back from the science team on the HLS S30 product: ""ESA started to add 1000 to the scaled TOA and surface reflectance in late January of 2022, and since we've accordingly subtracted 1000 after the TOA data is read. Users unaware of this change saw a jump in the time series." Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks!
