SeaDAS install_ocssw failed with exit code 1

by roxani2018 » Sun Mar 19, 2023 3:35 am America/New_York

Hi everyone,

I recently downloaded SeaDas on my MacBook Air (M2, 2022), and I am trying to install data processors (SeaDAS-OCSSW -> Install/Update OC Processors). However, I receive the same error "no module named requests" every time.

.

I've checked python and "requests" module already exists. I have no idea why this is happening for a few days. Any advice would be much appreciated.

It might be easier to point SeaDAS to the system's python3 by adding this line

Code: Select all

export PATH="/usr/local/bin/:$PATH"
to your bash or zsh file

And then make sure you have requests installed --

Code: Select all

pip3 list
If not, install requests --

Code: Select all

/usr/bin/pip3 install requests

If you still want to use /Users/mj/opt/anaconda3/bin/python3, you should ask your system administrator to make sure you actually have requests module installed in /Users/mj/opt/anaconda3/bin/python3/pkgs/. And hope this post might be helpful -- viewtopic.php?t=2198&start=30#p7867
