Different value of MODIS Data

by shulhan » Tue May 02, 2023 3:27 am America/New_York

When I do time series plotting, the value of the CHL is between 0.23 to 0.26,
but when I downloaded it from the recurring map, the value is between 0.03 to 81.

Same thing happened for the SST, the min max value from time series plot is different from the value of geotiff file that I downloaded from the site.

Hello,

The difference is a likely result. When you use the average of the whole region for the trend, the value is more likely to be consistent. But if you take a closer look at the region for a particular day, as what you do in the first figure, you'll see the data vary from coastal water to the sea.

Please provide more details if you want us to take a closer look.
