SeaDAS - Creating land, water coastline masks

by stefan.godeke » Sun May 14, 2023 2:34 am America/New_York

I have downloaded a level 3 mapped (AquaMODIS) SST monthly file which I displayed in SeaDAS.
I have tried to compute land water and coastline masks using different settings also with low sampling factor.
It has not been successful. The process seems to take a very long time. How long could the computation take ?
My computer has 16GB ram with an i7 processor.

Sometimes CoastlineLandWaterMasks freezes. You could restart SeaDAS. Before you do CoastlineLandWaterMasks again, try to optimize VM Parameters and/or cache size by pressing the Compute button in the Performance Optimizer Smart Configurator Window, accessed through SeaDAS -> Preferences -> Performance
