GES DISC Platform Keyword Update Request

GES DISC is requesting that the Platform keyword for JPSS-2/NOAA-21 be updated (or an additional one added) to match JPSS-1/NOAA-20.

Existing JPSS-1/NOAA20 keyword:
Space-based Platforms > Earth Observation Satellites > NOAA-20 > Joint Polar Satellite System - 1

Keyword request:
Space-based Platforms > Earth Observation Satellites > NOAA-21 > Joint Polar Satellite System - 2

Many data providers and users recognize these as NOAA-20 or NOAA-21, rather than JPSS-1 or JPSS-2.

Hi Carlee, I will add NOAA-21 as requested. Just an FYI, when a user searches for "JPSS-2" or "NOAA-21" in the Earth Data Search Interface the keyword returned will look like "NOAA-21 (JPSS-2)". We are using a Humanizer to manage the confusion between the two.
