Hello,

I've noticed we didn't get the tile h20v06 from MYD11A2 version 6.1 as I'd expected.Seems like it's just not showing through the CMR API because the file is there:

Didn't check if any other tiles are not surfaced.

Hi @valpesendorfer I apologize for the delay in this response. We are currently not seeing this data in CMR either. I'll report this to our Science team and the CMR team and will report back when we have more information. Thanks, Danielle

Hello @valpesendorfer As new data are delivered to the LP DAAC, there may be discrepancies in what is available in the LP DAAC Data Pool vs. CMR. Those differences are constantly being reconciled and typically all data should be available within the following week in CMR.

This means we should account for "differences" between data available on the data pool vs what's published in CMR up to a full week?

Hi @valpesendorfer There are no differences in the data itself. Depending on the timeliness of your research, you should account for the fact that there will be a minor delay in seeing data in CMR that was recently added to the LP DAAC's Data Pool. It could take up to a week before a new granule in the LP DAAC Data Pool is available in CMR.

Please note: We were just made aware of an issue with MODIS processing that is delaying new data. We will post on the forum once we have more information and will post again once the issue is resolved.

yes it's clear the data is the same. My issue is that we're working fairly near real time. So a delay of a week from data available vs data being (programmatically) discoverable, isn't that minor for us.

For example, after the recent processing delay the MODIS NDVI products we're using are becoming available on the data pool. We're bit under pressure to get these in, but they are not available on CMR.

Waiting for a week in this case would be a tough ask. Is there any alternative to discover data besides CMR that might have a lower latency? I suppose we could scrape the data pool but that might not be desired.

Hello @valentinab If you want the most recent data as soon as it is available from the LP DAAC, you will need to scrape the data pool.
