Is MOD44B v061 available in a STAC?
Is MOD44B v061 available in a STAC?
I am interested in using the data from MODIS/Terra Vegetation Continuous Fields Yearly L3 Global 250 m SIN Grid (https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/products/mod44bv061/) but I cannot seem to locate it in the LPCLOUD STAC (https://cmr.earthdata.nasa.gov/stac/LPCLOUD/). There are a bunch of other MODIS collections in there but not MOD44B.
Is there a way to tell definitively if any given dataset is available via STAC query? It would be great if that were listed in the options in the "Access Data" popup on a collection's page!

Hello @hrodman1 I am checking with our team to see if there are any plans to add that dataset to STAC. That is a great suggestion about updating our "Access Data" popup to reflect STAC access. I'll bring that up with the team as well. I'll report back once I know more.

Re: Is MOD44B v061 available in a STAC?
Good Morning,
Sorry for the confusion with the MOD44B in the STAC. Please note MOD44B 6.1 is in the STAC Catalog, but it's under the LPDAAC_ECS provider > https://cmr.earthdata.nasa.gov/stac/LPDAAC_ECS/collections/MOD44B.v061
This is a data collection that is still being served from on-premises, so it is not in the LP Cloud provider endpoint at this time.
Let us know if you have further questions.
Thanks,
Brett

Is the MOD44B VCF data available on STAC? I checked if the collection was available in "https://cmr.earthdata.nasa.gov/stac/LPDAAC_ECS/collections/MOD44B.v061" and it throws an error
"errors":["Could not find collection with id [MOD44B.v061] for provider [LPDAAC_ECS]"]}

Re: Is MOD44B v061 available in a STAC?
Hi,
Sorry for all the confusion with this. Recently with the new version and switch to the cloud things have bee changing rather quickly. Please notice you will not find any MODIS v061 with in the LPDAAC_ECS (https://cmr.earthdata.nasa.gov/stac/LPDAAC_ECS/collections/MOD44B.v061).
In order to find the MODIS v061 you will need to replace the LPDAAC_ECS with LPCLOUD (https://cmr.earthdata.nasa.gov/stac/LPCLOUD/collections/MOD44B.v061
Please let me know if it is still being a problem.
Thanks,
Brett
