GES DISC is requesting a new Platform keyword based on a GPM science team request. As IMERG is not technically a "Model" but has a long list of satellites, they are requesting that we add Multi-sensor Analysis under the Other category as below. This would also be ideal for user interface purposes.

Platforms > Other > Multi-sensor Analysis

@cloeser , we have IMERG under Models. Just to confirm, you would like it also to be under a new type: "Platforms > Other > Multi-sensor Analysis"?

This request was sparked by the GPM science team, but we realized that we can make use of this platform keyword for other projects beyond IMERG.

Sorry to rush in, just to make sure, "Platforms > Other > Multi-sensor Analysis" only, is perfectly fine. The intent is to use for IMERG and GPCP, and alike collections that are fused from a long list of satellites.

@cloeser @asavtche I added your keyword to the GCMD Platform Keyword list as requested. It will be published Friday June 9.

Hi Scott - Could the keyword be updated to remove the IMERG? We want to be able to use it for various missions.
