Surface specific heat capacity in MERRA-2

by fivedolphins » Sun Jun 11, 2023 4:50 pm America/New_York

Hi there. I am hoping to better understand what the inputs to MERRA-2 are for the calculation of specific heat capacity at the surface - both static choices and dynamic variables that change over time. I would like to find or construct an average specific heat capacity field to perform some flux calculations. Are there any resources available that describe these choices or parameters?

Thanks.

I have attached two documents which should be able to provide answers for what you are looking for.

Hope you find this information helpful.
