Extracting data from Level 3&4 browser gives a domain error

by martinschaefer » Thu Jun 29, 2023 6:38 am America/New_York

Hi,

I'm extracting data from the level 3&4 browser. When I click on the Extract button on the order summary I am forwarded to a site telling me "domain.pub may be for sale". Has a domain registration lapsed? Anyone able to extract data?

Thanks

Hi @martinschaefer Which sensor are you trying to download L3&4 data for and which website or tool are you using? That will help us figure out the error you are seeing. Thanks.

Hi,

I'm in https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/l3/

I'm extracting Aqua-MODIS, Chlorophyll concentration, monthly, 4km from Apr 2022-Oct 2022.

Then Extract region 52N, 48S, -7W, 4E, mapped

Review Order - Redirecting - I end up on the domain registration pages.

I hope that helps.

Thanks
Martin

Same problem here.

Trying to access data from the Level 3 & L4 browser. https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/l3/

If relevant, for the Aqua-MODIS instrument, product Chlorophyll Data (but I intended to download others as well), Annual slices. I've tried both "Extract" (by bounding box) and "Download" (global, wget to get the links) options, with the same results.

I've posted some screenshots of the error pages here: https://twitter.com/BernerFrederico/status/1674438519291355139

Thanks so much for reporting! We made some updates to our site and one file still needed to be tweaked for the Level 3 & 4 browser. It should be working now to properly accept extraction requests.
