503 Error When Bulk Downloading

Hi! I've been trying to download the 40-year hourly VIC output from NLDAS. I used Python requests package for bulk downloading. But I kept encounter 503 error from the server. Do you guys have any clue to this problem? Thank you!

The GES DISC responds with the following message: "The system may issue
'service temporarily unavailable' for more than one concurrent connection in
certain circumstances. At this time we ask that you limit your concurrent
connections.
