Hi @Earthdata Search - kaewal01 The Application for Extracting and Exploring Analysis Ready Samples (AρρEEARS) would meet your needs! AppEEARS allows you to upload a shapefile or geojson or draw a polygon and will subset the data spatially for you and provide you with a nice mosaic in the end as either a GeoTiff or NetCDF-4. As a bonus you can also choose a specific projection as well.

The GES DISC offers spatial subsetting for many datasets, accessible through the main data ordering interface. First search for the datasets of interest, using keywords in the search box on the home page. In the returned list, if the words "Subset/Get Data" appear under the dataset name, these data can be subset. In addition to spatial subsetting, they can also be temporally subset or by variable.
The Giovanni system (https://giovanni.gsfc.nasa.gov/) provides spatial and temporal subsetting for all of the data variables (Level 3 data) in the system.

Hi @@Earthdata Search - kaewal01, the ORNL DAAC provides several tools/services that you can use to subset data spatially.
- Terrestrial Ecology Subsetting & Visualization Services, formerly "MODIS/VIIRS Subsets Tool", allows you to subset selected land data products from MODIS, VIIRS, SMAP, ECOSTRESS, GEDI, ICESat-2, etc. for any location, area, and time period globally. Link: https://modis.ornl.gov/
- THREDD Data Server allows you to subset selected ORNL DAAC-archived data through the OPeNDAP and NetCDF Subset Service APIs. Link: https://thredds.daac.ornl.gov/thredds/
- Spatial Data Access Tool allows you to subset selected ORNL DAAC-archived data through the OGC Web Coverage Service (WCS) API in GIS-ready format. Link: https://webmap.ornl.gov/ogc

I am a little late joining this thread, but it seems the appropriate place for my comments and questions. I have found Appeears to be very helpful for polygon and point data extraction for several Ecostress and Modis datasets. Polygon data retrieval works on land AND in estuaries and the Gulf of Mexico- incredibly helpful- but point data time series can only be retrieved on land. Sometimes, point data retrieval works in estuaries but never in open water of the Gulf of Mexico. So, my question: Would it be possible for USGS and the DAAC's to extend the Appeears point data retrieval boundary into the nearshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean for Ecostress and Modis products?

Could you give to me some of the AppEEARS order IDs where you are seeing this. I am looking at your orders and I see 2 area and 5 point requests. Supposedly AppEEARS should process all available pixels with an actual value that falls within your search criteria whether it is over land or water. If it is not doing so something is wrong. However, most of our data would not have values in a pixel that is entirely over water. Particularly MODIS Land data. If a pixel intersects with land even to the smallest degree it should have a value, but depending on the MODOS product the pixel value may not be accurate. Smaller inland waters are different, they usually will have values, however often times the values will be skewed, particularly with Surface Reflectance data. However Ecostress products are different and should have some water values.

Thanks for looking at this. You are absolutely right: I have seven recent Appeears requests for Ecostress data. Both polygon data requests (Florida Bay poly b26616f8-8ae9-4c47-86df-933402078d15 and Tampa Bay poly 9c796e35-6f55-4a95-be82-09d8fc7ead15) provided data and so did the Tampa Bay point data request (42c3e813-9291-4710-a234-1e409c2919a5). However, the Florida Bay (b26616f8-8ae9-4c47-86df-933402078d15) and Florida Big Bend point data (b26616f8-8ae9-4c47-86df-933402078d15) requests came up empty.

Hi @carlsopr Can you double check your Point requests. The majority we are seeing are over the Antarctic, The Area requests are over Florida, so I am not sure what is going on. For instance: a052f041-33db-4da6-bf8f-7f9adfd96e4d
