MODIS missing data

by julia.julia » Wed Sep 06, 2023 5:38 am America/New_York

Hello, we retrieve MOD09GA data from https://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov/MOLT/MOD09GA.061/ but I have noticed the most recently available data as of asking this question is for 2023.09.02. Is there a processing outage for this data?
Also we are using MCD43A4 data https://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov/MOTA/MCD43A4.061/ and there are also last updated data is 2023-09-03. May be it is a common delay for this dataset?

Hi @julia.julia Thank you for bringing that to our attention. We'll talk with our Science Data Life Cycle team and the MODIS Science team about the status of the data and will report back here once I have more information. Thanks, Danielle

Hi Julia,
Sorry for the delay. There was a issue with a maneuver primarily on September 3 and 4. The data providers were able to recover the data and is has since been processed. If you have not tried recently to access the data, please do. Thanks for your patience.
Brett
