What is the planned update of NRT L2 data of VIIRS that now only reaches 2023-03-01? MODIS/AQUA for example is already up to date until 2023-08-01 (since Aug 26th, 2023)

We are working on the refined calibration. The 2022 Hunga-Tonga volcanic eruption introduced some complexities to the process. When we have the calibration ready there will a short reprocessing of 2022 -2023.

I see that now SNPP-VIIRS is consolidated until 9/1/2023 do you have an update for when
NOAA20-VIIRS that is now consolidated only until 3/1/2023 will be completed?

They are working on the new calibration now, so it should be soon.

Upon further review, we have decided that the current JPSS1 VIIRS calibration remains valid and the refined processing out to 2023-09-01 is under way. JPSS2 calibration is still under review.

Shall I update to a certain OCSSW tag to get the new calibration work? Mine is currently V2023.3

The LUTs are not tied to a particular tag. You want to run the update_luts program to get the latest LUTs for viirsn.

Do you know when more recent (non NRT) L2 granules will be made available on your repository?

We processed both SNPP and J1 L2 out to Dec 1 2023 yesterday.
Where are you checking that you only see Sept 01?
