I have some small analyses using the MODIS-Aqua chl-a and SST datasets and I want to cite them appropriately, but I'm having some trouble digging up the DOIs mentioned on the "how to cite" page (https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/resources/how-to-cite/).
I've looked through the various data browsers and so forth but haven't found any dataset-specific DOIs other than the example one given on the how-to page. Can someone point me in the right direction?

You can find DOIs for products for which we are the official DAAC of record by visiting the Ocean Color website: https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/
Navigate to the mission page: About > Missions > Aqua MODIS (in your case)
Click the DOI tab for more information. However, we are not the official DAAC of record for SST products so we would defer to PO.DAAC for those DOIs. This information is available in the OB.DAAC product metadata.

A couple more thoughts:
* If you've saved a bookmark to the dataset landing page or you have the DOI (which should point to the landing page) that landing page should have the citation, as in this particular SST page at PO.DAAC: https://doi.org/10.5067/GHMDA-2PJ19
* Also, if you have the DOI, then https://citation.crosscite.org is useful in giving you the citation formatted for the journal you're using.
* Finally, if you don't have the landing page saved or the DOI saved, then I would go to https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov to locate the correct dataset. That will give you (under Collection Details) the DOI, linked to the landing page and you can go from there.
