Cloud Effective Radius in MYD06_L2

by aakashmodis » Tue Oct 31, 2023 12:08 pm America/New_York

Hello,
I am working with MODIS Aqua Level 2 cloud products (MYD06_L2) where I need cloud effective radius (CER) observed at 2.1 micrometer. I found the CER at 1.6 um ( e.g., Cloud_Effective_Radius_16) and CER at 3.7 um ( e.g., Cloud_Effective_Radius_37) but not at 2.1 micrometer in the file specification and documentation regarding microphysical products.
Please provide the solution that which SDS product corresponds to CER at 2.1 micrometer.

The SDS "Cloud_Effective_Radius_1621" is "Cloud Particle Effective Radius two-channel retrieval using band 7(2.1um) and band 6(1.6um)from best points". For more information see:

The SDS's "Cloud_Effective_Radius" and "Cloud_Optical"Thickness" are 2.1 micron retrievals.
