ASTER GeoTIFF Orders Temporarily Suspended -- RESOLVED

Please note: The GeoTIFF order option for ASTER data products was restored on 1/24/2024.

During a routine operations system upgrade it was discovered that the HDF-EOS to GeoTIFF (HEG) tool utility used by the Science Scalable Scripts-based Science Processor for Missions (S4PM) processing system to create GeoTIFF files was outdated and will need to be replaced with a newer version. To prevent customer orders from failing, the LP DAAC will be disabling the GeoTIFF order option in all ASTER on-demand order forms until an update is provided for the stand-alone HEG tool. Once the update is received and tested, the GeoTIFF order option for ASTER products will be restored in NASA’s Earthdata Search.

Affected data product orders include:

ASTER Level 1A Reconstructed Unprocessed Instrument Data (AST_L1A)
ASTER Level 1B Registered Radiance at the Sensor (AST_L1B)
ASTER L2 Surface Emissivity (AST_05)
ASTER L2 Surface Reflectance VNIR and SWIR (AST_07)
ASTER L2 Surface Reflectance SWIR Crosstalk-Corrected (AST_07XT)
ASTER L2 Surface Kinetic Temperature (AST_08)
ASTER L2 Surface Radiance VNIR and SWIR (AST_09)
ASTER L2 Surface Radiance SWIR Crosstalk-Corrected (AST_09XT)
ASTER L2 Surface Radiance TIR (AST_09T)
