LAADS DAAC API-V2 VIIRS Data Product Latency

by gusgrins » Wed Jan 10, 2024 8:10 pm America/New_York

How often are VIIRS data products updated through the LAADS DAAC API-V2?

For context:
"Data latency is the total time elapsed between when data are acquired by a sensor and when these data are made available to the public." (

The latency information provided in the table on the EarthData webpage are accurate. So, latency varies with type and level of a product, but generally between few hours to few days and in some cases (for higher level products) even a month or more.
