Hello!

I have been trying to download MERRA2 3-hourly data and have been running into issues. I am using WGET and get the following error after it downloads roughly 100 files:

Connecting to goldsmr5.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov (goldsmr5.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov)|198.118.197.96|:443... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 500 500
2024-01-11 10:02:38 ERROR 500: 500.

Any suggestions or idea on why this may be happening? I have been downloading on both my computer and remotely onto a HPC. Both have the same issue.

This is an error, but there was no problem earlier.

It was brought to our attention that over the weekend, some configuration issues with certain S3 buckets were and still are affecting user access to some collections. We will post any updates, as this issue is currently being fixed.
