To kick off the new year, the NASA Prediction Of Worldwide Energy Resources (POWER) Project is pleased to announce its user community’s feedback and recommendations have now been implemented into the new Data Access Viewer enhanced (DAVe). The DAVe offers several new and enhanced features to its community while preserving the functionalities users are familiar with in the old DAV version. POWER invites you to review the DAVe’s latest enhancements and bookmark the tool while the team works towards decommissioning the old DAV in the a few months' time: https://power.larc.nasa.gov/beta/data-access-viewer/

As with the previous version, the DAVe is a web mapping application that provides enhanced capabilities to access and use targeted NASA Earth Observation data supporting renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and agroclimatology communities. Some enhancements featured in the DAVe include:
• Improved user interactive menus for parameter selection and data download
o Select groups of parameters based upon community standards and units
o Select lists of parameters, including value added, for needed temporal averages
o Ability to download parameters in general and community specific formats
• Visualization and charting of key data parameters such as:
o Thermal Zones
o Monthly Heatmaps
o Anomalies
o Annual Cycles
• Integrated reporting capabilities such as Climatic Design Conditions derived from ASHRAE® equations
• New Climate Projections data download and visualizations developed as a part of the NASA Climate Adaptation Science Investigators (CASI) Program

Users can find an interactive tutorial on the bottom left of the DAVe homepage to get started and become accustomed to the application’s available features.
