A few questions in regard to retrieving Level 2 subscription data as soon as possible after it has been made available on your system:
1) Is there a typical time period from data acquisition to when you post a data 'granule' on your server for a particular subscription (i.e. a Aqua, Terra or VIIRS SST or Chlorophyll level 2 dataset)?
2) Is there any sort of mechanism available to alert us when a granule or file for a specific subscription ID has been posted to your server and is ready for download. For example, if the data for a particular AOI related to subscription number XXXX is usually acquired between 18:00 - 21:00 UTC, is there a way for us to know when exactly the last file for that date or Julian day has been posted for that subscription for that data acquisition time range?
At present our system simply 'looks' for new data every 20 minutes and when 2 or more files for a date for a specific subscription area available for download our script moves forward to download and process the data. We re trying to be more efficient as well as get the data we need for a particular AOI as soon as possible post-acquisition.
Any recommendations or methods you can suggest to improve our procedure will be most welcome.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Subscription Update Times
If you are interested in near-real-time data, the L2 latency is typically 3-8 hours after it is collected by the satellite.
For refined products the latency can be 60-90 days or more.
The only way to check the subscription status is by polling the server.
We don't have support any subscription notification services at this time.
